The Analysis of Urbanization's Impact on Increasing Unemployment in Bandung
Abstract
Urbanization is a phenomenon of population movement from rural to urban areas, which can have various socio-economic implications. The research employs a qualitative approach with a literature study method to comprehensively explore the relationship between urbanization and unemployment rates in Bandung City. The analysis is based on a systematic review of relevant literature sources, including scientific journal articles, research reports, and authoritative publications. The findings highlight the multifaceted impacts of urbanization, such as increased job competition, mismatch between skills and job opportunities, and pressure on urban infrastructure and public services. The study provides insights into the challenges faced by urban areas like Bandung City in managing urbanization and its consequences on employment. Recommendations are offered for policymakers and stakeholders to develop strategies that address urbanization-related issues and promote sustainable urban development.
