Analysis of City Ecology Patterns in the Context of Urbanization in Bandung
Abstract
This analysis explores the urban ecological patterns of Bandung City from the perspective of the interaction between urbanization, social structure, and the physical environment. Using a qualitative approach and secondary data analysis, the study analyzed factors that influence the city's ecological patterns, including land use, circulation and parking, green open spaces, and urban parks. The findings show that urbanization has a significant impact on the environment and social interactions, with increased air and water pollution and changes in community interaction patterns as a result. However, urbanization also forms communities with strong solidarity. The main challenge faced is to maintain a balance between urban development and environmental preservation and social welfare. Suggestions for future research include more in-depth analysis of the factors driving urbanization, exploration of sustainable development strategies, and the importance of involving active community participation in addressing ecological impacts. It is hoped that this research provides a more holistic understanding of urban ecological dynamics and the impacts of urbanization as well as more effective policy recommendations for sustainable and environmentally friendly urban development.
